With Halloween just around the corner, what better time to enter an other-worldly evening where we’ll delve into using magical realism in fiction.
This interactive, 2-hour Creative Writing Workshop will aid you with secrets to weaving the supernatural into your writing, with extracts illuminating creative techniques, lively discussion and prompts to ignite your imagination. We’ll then enjoy immersive writing time to play and experiment.
Whether you dabble in supernatural writing or are ready to pen your first fable, you’ll leave with an enhanced understanding of craft and curiosity about the limitless possibilities you can conjure.
What do you need for the session?
All you need is a notebook or laptop to write with.
About your host:
Joanne Bell’s short fiction, essays and poems have been published in literary magazines and anthologies worldwide. Her debut novel was shortlisted for the Agora Books work in progress prize, she has filmed spoken word for the BBC and was selected for Edinburgh International Book Festival’s emerging writer program.
