Polinizadores como abelhas, borboletas e beija-flores são responsáveis por 75% das plantas com flor e por cerca de um terço dos nossos alimentos. O seu trabalho é essencial. Trata-se uma colaboração silenciosa que mantém a vida a acontecer.
Eles não polinizam só uma planta, ligam ecossistemas ao viajar entre flores diferentes. Este cruzamento reforça a diversidade genética e torna as plantas mais resistentes.
A nossa feira multicultural é como essa polinização: uma troca alegre de culturas, sabores e histórias. A diversidade não é apenas bem-vinda, é o que faz o sistema florescer.

To close the semester, we follow the path of pollinators — bees, butterflies, and birds who cross-pollinate life by connecting diversity. Our Multicultural Food Fair is just that: a joyful cross-pollination of cultures, flavors, and stories from across campus and the neighborhood!

Learn from Nature: Pollinators – Champions of Diversity
Pollinators like bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds are responsible for 75% of the world’s flowering plants and about one-third of our food. Their work is essential, but often unseen — a quiet form of collaboration that sustains life.
Pollinators don’t specialize in one type of plant — they connect ecosystems by moving between many different flowers. This cross-pollination strengthens genetic diversity and helps plants become more resilient to change.
