Join us for a hands-on papermaking workshop, where you’ll explore how to turn discarded materials into beautifully textured, handmade paper.

What to expect?

✨ Introduction to natural fibers and pulping techniques
✨ Learning how to extract fibers from olive leaves, corn husks, denim, and recycled paper
✨ Experimenting with colors, textures, and pressing methods
✨ Taking home your own unique sheets of handmade paper

All tools will be provided, but feel free to bring any materials you'd like to experiment with.

About the Instructor

Souad Ghaffari is a Tunisian multidisciplinary designer with a degree in Packaging Design from the Higher School of Design Sciences and Technologies, in Tunis. She began her journey collaborating with NGOs and international organizations to empower women through design and local craftsmanship. She created the territorial brand TATAOUI, documenting and promoting rural women’s ancestral recipes and handicrafts from her hometown Tataouine. With eight years of experience in branding and packaging, she has worked on projects that merge visual identity with sustainability. Twice awarded Arab-wide and certified by the World Packaging Organization (WPO), she later shifted her focus to biomaterials. Through Re Workshop, she develops olive byproduct-based materials, pushing the boundaries of sustainable design.
