About this event
- Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes
Over the course of six weeks you will reconnect deeply with your psychedelic experiences in order to identify and embody the insights you have gained in sustainable ways and itegrate them into daily life. You will be guided thorough a process in six structured steps to support you in unfolding both the challenging and the beneficial aspects you may have uncovered using a process underpinned by acceptance and commitment therapy.
Each week will cover one specific aspect and the modules will build on each other progressing from intention to transformation. It's a chance to process your biographical experiences in relation to your experiences in altered states of consciousness.
All of this is done in a therapeutic group setting to enable the processing of these experiences in connection to others. A variety of methods will be called upon such as movement practices, meditations, breathwork, music journeys, art therapy, sharing circles, psychoeducation and other methodologies and excersises.
This group is aimed at any one with experience of altered states of consciousness but may also be useful for psychologists, psychotherapists, psychiatrists and facilitators who are learning about these methods. It might be a useful process to undertake post retreat or after therapeutic treatment sessions.
No substances will be used in the process of this group. The focus is on developing a practice of integration to deepen past and future use of altered states of consciousness.
This process will be guided by UKCP registered existential analytic psychotherapist Helen Sproat who has been trained to facilitate psychedelic integration workshops by the MIND Foundation. The group will be in English.

Frequently asked questions
A psychedelic integration group is a supportive space where individuals can process and make sense of their experiences with altered states of consciousness. It helps participants integrate insights from their psychedelic journeys into their daily lives.
Benefits include gaining support and understanding from others with similar experiences, learning effective integration practices, and receiving guidance from trained facilitators.
While many groups are designed for those with prior psychedelic experiences, this group also welcomes individuals interested in learning about psychedelics and preparation for future experiences. We also consider all types of psychedelic experiences relevant not just those induced by substances.
Confidentiality is a fundamental principle. All members must agree to keep what is shared within the group private to ensure a safe and trusting environment.
Topics can include personal experiences, challenges, insights, integration practices, coping strategies, and harm reduction.
Sessions typically start with a check-in, followed by group discussions, individual sharing, guided exercises or activities and may end with a summary or closing circle.
No special preparation is usually needed, but reflecting on your experiences and intentions beforehand can be helpful.
It's normal to feel hesitant at first. The group allows you to share at your own pace and provides a non-judgmental space to express your feelings and insights.
A consultation with the facilitator can help determine if the group aligns with your needs and goals. It’s also helpful to consider your comfort with group settings and discussing personal experiences. Please contact me to discuss this further.
Facilitators are trained to manage conflicts and ensure a respectful and safe environment. Conflicts are addressed constructively as part of the group's process.
