Frequently asked questions

What is the refund policy?

No-shows and cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start of the tour will not be refunded. Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the start will be refunded. The booking fees are not refundable. If the tour is cancelled by myself (the organiser), it will be fully refunded.

Is the tour child-friendly?

Children are welcome as long as they can alternately walk and stand for more than 3 hours. Given the length of the tour and its rather specific theme, I suggest that children should be at least 8 years old. Last but not least, the tour is free for children under 15.

Can I bring my pet?

Our four-legged friends have much better things to do than this tour :) I want all the participants to feel completely at ease during the tour. I do not know them in advance and thus prefer to avoid any situation that may create fear or physical discomfort to some.

Is the tour accessible to people with reduced mobility?

The tour takes place in Alfama and Mouraria. In both neighbourhoods, the ground is mainly made of cobblestones which is not wheelchair-friendly. There are also steps to go down and short climbs during the walk. I can adjust the pace to go more slowly but most of the route cannot be changed.
